THRIVE Director Notes

Posts on this Blog will be directed to help families see what is going on in our THRIVE Program.
Items discussed on the Blog have already occurred.  To keep updated on what’s coming up please refer to the THRIVE activity calendar or UCM activity calendar.

This blog will be used to help communicate the weekly goings-on at THRIVE. It's intended for parents of the students not for outside individuals. We will give you a snapshot of each class' week. This will include what they will do in THRIVE classes and other THRIVE activities. It will not include items that are UCM planned events (Athletics, Plays, Concerts, etc.) that are planned by UCM. These can be found by going to UCM's website and creating a link to your calendar. I've placed this information on our THRIVE Website under the families tab.

First-Year Students:

Technology: Please make sure you have your laptop ready for school. This would include installing Microsoft Office (see email sent on June 28th).  Then if you are bringing your own iPad, please make sure you have installed the apps in the email (June 28th). You will also want to write down your Apple ID and security questions and have in a secure place.

Getting Ready: Make contact with your roommate to make sure you know who is bringing what (refer to June 28th email).  Have all the items on the list packed and ready to go. Breathe and relax. It’s going to be a great year. We can’t wait...

Second-Year Students:

Technology-Please makes sure you have your laptop ready.  If you have a new laptop make sure you have installed Microsoft Office.  You can do this free by going to the UCM technology website and looking up Microsoft 365.  If you don’t know email, Mr. Brunkhorst. Then if you have your own iPad, make sure you have space for new items.  If not, you’ll want to take some things off before you come to class. Take time now to get it ready. Save pictures on your computer or in the cloud.

See your activity agenda sent you in early August.  If you have any questions, contact Mr. Brunkhorst.

Have fun with your last few days of summer. We'll start our Fall semester on August 9th-Early Move-in.
