Notes from Mr. B: This next week is Week 8 on our school calendar. This is important for the parents to know.  This is midterm week.  This means that our first-year students will have finals in their 8-week classes of Bowling and Valuing Differences.  We’ve alerted our mentors and volunteers that assist our first-year students to give them a hand.  This may mean that we have some students that are more nervous than normal.  This is also midterm for our other students which may mean a Midterm Test and/or paper for some of their classes, it all depends on what their elective teacher does.  Then the other point that First-Year parents will need to know is that this mean...

Winter is coming... Some added thoughts for this week. With the end of Summer officially today, families you might make sure your student has appropriate winter gear. Missouir is known for having early winters and the weather can change literally overnight. So if you are coming this weekend you might make sure your student has a heavy coat, boots, gloves, winter clothing, etc. First-Year Students: University Foundations: Debra Southard Monday Students were reminded- put names and titles on assignments before submitting. we went over a list of distractions.. Please remember, part of our program is working on students doing more on their own.  Please let their teacher Mrs. Southard (first-Year) or Dr. Manning (second-year) know if your son/daughter is still asking you for lots of help with homework.  We have mentors in the dorms and are starting to add multiple volunteers in the study halls and other times, as well.  It’s great to see how much the students can start doing on their own when they have to do things themselves.  Thank you for your assistance with this.
